Trust your instinct
backed up by adequate information.
Midwives, breastfeeding consultants and doctors all agree: breastfeeding is best for your baby. Both you and your child were born with all the physical equipment you need to breastfeed. Practically every woman can breastfeed. And experience has shown that the more a mother knows about breastfeeding and the more prepared she is, the more successful she will be at breastfeeding her baby.
Of course, a mother may have strong personal reasons for choosing not to breastfeed. All that matters is that you stick by your decision and don’t let anyone make you feel guilty because of it. Because whether you breastfeed or not, if you feel good and confident in yourself, you will experience an intense closeness with your baby.
The NUK team of experts will be on hand to answer your questions on the topic in the video consultation.
